Everyone is in need of a place to belong - a place where people truly care when hurting
- people who encourage and expect the best from one another, and where people know
The Eastside Church of Christ in Forney is such a people. We are not just a group
of sincere people; we are God’s family.
The Church is not a building. It is a group of Christ’s followers in an area. The
Church is spoken of in the New Testament in the general sense that would include
all New Testament Christians in the world (Colossians 1:18). It is also spoken of
in a local sense, that is , the church of a certain city or community (1 Corinthians
1:2; 1 Corinthians 16:19). Where there are men and women who have scripturally obeyed
the Gospel of Christ, there is the church. They are then to actively teach others
to love and obey God (2 Timothy 2:2).
We welcome you to commune with us!
(1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Who preaches is not as important as what is preached. Our minister doesn’t have a
title. He won’t be referred to as Reverend. His name is Thomas Fitzgerald. Some
may refer to him as Brother Fitzgerald,
Mr. Fitzgerald, or Brother Thomas. Brother Thomas has been ministering at Eastside
Church of Christ since May 1999. His leadership and teaching has led many to Christ
and the continued growth of the Church, both spiritually and numerically.
